# A Note on Quikscript Spelling


I value proper spelling as much as the next reader. That said, I don’t speak like Read did. In the absence of authoritative Quikscript dictionaries ([mine][] isn’t one), I _will_ misspell things.

So if you’re about to use my blog posts as an authoritative spelling resource, don’t. I’ve used others’ writing as a guide to my own, but they were writing in Read’s letter-writing circle and getting their spelling corrected fairly regularly. I’m not.
